Overview The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling the integrated project schedule for a large-scale data centre project. The role ensures that design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities are fully aligned, resourced, and sequenced to meet programme milestones and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage the baseline master programme covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and phased handover. Manage schedule updates, progress measurement, and forecasting to completion. Identify critical path activities, float erosion, and programme risks. Coordinate phased energisation, testing, and client readiness milestones. Plan and control long-lead procurement items (e.g. generators, switchgear, chillers). Work closely with design managers, construction managers, MEP leads, commissioning teams, and external vendors. Interface with the client, consultants, and contractors to ensure programme alignment. Lead programme reviews and schedule workshops. Produce high-quality programme reports, dashboards, and narratives. Present schedule status, risks, and recovery plans to senior management and the client. Ensure planning outputs meet contractual and governance requirements.
