Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence‑based international standards and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges.Job DescriptionRoleENV/FIG/FCA is looking for a Young Associate to conduct work on tracking and assessing investment and financing to measure progress towards climate‑related objectives and goals. Depending on profile and needs, the selected candidate will contribute to FCA team’s work on assessing the alignment of finance with climate goals and/or the New Collective Quantified Goal on climate finance. The candidate will report to and benefit from guidance and mentoring by the FCA Team Lead, work under the supervision of the Policy Analysts/Economists leading the team’s work streams, and interact with a wide range of OECD colleagues and external stakeholders.Main ResponsibilitiesCarry out innovative research, literature review, and methodological work to assess and analyse investments, financing, and underlying policies in relation to climate mitigation and resilience policy goals.Identify, collect, and analyse data on climate‑relevant investment and financing from a range of sources such as international and national statistics, commercial databases, primary data gathering (e.g., financial statements), or through data scraping.Test and analyse indicators to track climate performance and progress for different types of financial instruments, assets, and institutions.Produce clear and effective visuals summarising key insights from the data analysis, research and literature review.Contribute to drafting flagship reports, working and policy papers, as well as explanatory and technical notes on data and methods.Support the organisation of and participate in OECD and external meetings or workshops related to the above.QualificationsIdeal Candidate ProfileAcademic BackgroundUndergraduate degree in economics, finance, environmental science, or a related discipline (graduation date between 1 January 2025 and 1 September 2026).
