Engineering Team The engineering team builds the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first‑class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves. We move fast, own our work, and tackle big problems. Our stack is Python/Flask, React, React Native, PostgreSQL. In 2024 we are consolidating codebases into global, configurable modules to support cross‑market launches. Your mission Design Cross‑Cutting Modules: Transform country‑specific implementations into elegant global components that become building blocks for other teams. Remove Technical Blockers for Product Teams: Tackle blockers across domains and eliminate need for team‑specific workarounds. Orchestrate Data Transformations: Harmonize different countries’ data models without losing local flexibility and consolidate existing data into unified schemas. Build and Own What You Create: Own the entire lifecycle of solutions, from design through long‑term maintenance. Why This Role Matters Focus on High‑Impact, Cross‑Domain Solutions: Work exclusively on blockers that span multiple business domains. Enable Teams, Don’t Replace Them: Remove obstacles so teams can build global‑first solutions. Learn and Share Globalization Patterns: Share expertise with other teams to improve global vs. local decisions. What We’re Looking For You write code and maintain what you build; no architect in an ivory tower. You navigate complex systems across multiple business domains and technical boundaries. You’ve worked with diverse architectural patterns and articulate the nuanced trade‑offs between them. You spot technical obstacles that block multiple teams and design solutions that remove those obstacles. Is It You We’re Looking For? You’ll tackle high‑impact & high‑risk projects involving many engineers. You’ll design efficient systems and engineering practices to align and facilitate interactions between multiple teams/products. You’ll mentor other engineers and lead crews. You’ll contribute to hiring future coworkers and shape the hiring experience. Desired Fit Well‑versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#, and enthusiastic about modern JavaScript. Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (experience in either is fine). Passionate about building products. Self‑starting and entrepreneurial. Humble and willing to grow at any seniority. Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
