Your Impact in This Role The Commercial Director - Stjernøy works alongside the Operations Director, and together, they share the P&L for Stjernøy cluster, in Norway. The particularity of this cluster is that it produces high-purity nepheline syenite. Our work powers progress across industries as diverse as glass, ceramics, construction, coatings, polymers by driving excellence and improving the energy footprint plus also supplying to the water purification application. 90% of the production is exported worldwide and sold through Sibelco’s network of offices. This is why we are looking for a Business Developer, with strong technical skills/understanding, to actively support the sales colleagues in other Sibelco regions to grow sales worldwide (mostly Europe but also the Americas). You will also manage Customer Services for the Cluster. With Operations, you will define the pricing strategy and mechanisms, deliver the commercial part of the P&L and grow sales in existing and new applications, markets and geographies. You are primarily responsible to define the sales strategy (target customers, applications and pricing) and manage the overall sales and marketing activities for the cluster. This is a complex role, in which you will be expected to develop new business due to customer/application understanding, with a “hunting” approach, while you will have to work with an existing network and be influential, to ensure that Sibelco’s sales teams globally are well supported technically with regards to nepheline’s applications and that they can offer the best and most appropriate solutions to their clients. This is a highly visible role which would suit an energetic business professional who will steer the development of an effective commercial strategy based on building data‑driven sales territory plans, and opportunity pipeline management, while ensuring continuous improvement of the services to our customers. What You Bring To The Table Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Experience in deal negotiations for complex key accounts, driving sales and marketing through large sales teams Experience in key market segments (glass, ceramics, building materials, coatings and polymers) is an advantage Excellent English is vital and any other language is a plus.
