(SDVOSB).Location: Multiples LocationsRequired Clearance: Top SecretCertifications: DoD 8140 certificationsRequired Education: HS/GEDRequired Experience: 7–10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software development.Position DescriptionPingWind is seeking a highly qualified and experienced DevSecOps Senior Specialist responsible for integrating security into all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency of enterprise systems. This role leads the implementation of secure DevOps practices, automation, and cloud-native solutions that enable rapid and secure delivery of software. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer also provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, and partners with development, operations, and cybersecurity teams to drive a culture of “security as code.”Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelinesEmbed security controls, scanning, and testing into development workflowsEnsure infrastructure, applications, and container environments meet security and compliance standardsAutomate provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and scaling of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)Manage cloud and containerized environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)Develop and maintain automated security validation tools and monitoring systemsIntegrate tools for static and dynamic application security testing (SAST, DAST), software composition analysis (SCA), and vulnerability managementImplement identity, access management, and secrets management solutionsEnsure systems comply with cybersecurity standards, policies, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP)Knowledge of security tools (e.g., SonarQube, Aqua, Twistlock, Snyk, HashiCorp Vault)Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go)Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK/EFK stack, Splunk)Required QualificationsDoD 8140 CertificationDesired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field3–5+ years of specialized experience integrating security into DevOps pipelinesAbout PingWindPingWind is focused on delivering outstanding services to the federal government.
