About the job As a Coverage Banker Corporate Clients (Industrial Sector) based in Paris you will play a central role in developing and managing BBVA’s relationships with major French industrial corporates. You will drive strategic engagement, commercial origination and execution. As VP you will report to a senior banker in charge of the French industrial sector and in turn to an industry banker in charge of the global industrial sector. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Senior Banker in charge of French Industrial groups in France giving general support in all the dialogue and commercial efforts to build long‑term relationships with French Industrials. Prepare and present credit applications. Originate financial solutions for BBVA France industrial clients in coordination with product specialists (M&A, Debt, Capital Markets, Corporate finance, Structured Finance, Global Transaction Banking, Global Markets, Advisory, cash management, Risk & Credit, legal, etc.). Provide market insights and strategic advice to corporates based on sector trends, macroeconomic developments and BBVA CIB’s capabilities. Coordinate client pitches and presentations ensuring high‑quality execution of commercial closely with BBVA’s international network to bring cross‑border coverage and value to clients. Collaborate with risk and internal committees in preparing credit proposals and approvals. Represent BBVA CIB at client meetings, industry events and internal steering committees. Prepare internal notes for business committees and reporting to BBVA’s top management. Monitor the credit portfolios (EAD, RORC). Ensure strong KYCs and regulatory discipline. Keep the Senior Banker informed about progress bottlenecks and ensure timely involvement of SB. Experience & Skills 5-10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, investment banking coverage or relationship management ideally within coverage of large corporates. Strong understanding of corporate financing solutions, capital markets and structured banking products. Proven track record in originating and managing high‑value client relationships. Excellent financial analysis and credit assessment capabilities. Strategic thinker with commercial insight and ability to manage complex transactions. Language Requirements Fluent in French, English and Spanish both written and spoken (mandatory) to support cross‑border client interaction and leverage BBVA’s global network. Personal Qualities Client‑focused mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Collaborative team player, agile and solutions‑oriented. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced international environment with high ethical and professional standards. Feeling comfortable running parallel workstreams under time pressure. Academic background Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field. Solid academic grounding in corporate finance, financial analysis, credit fundamentals.
