Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Ops AI Platform Join to apply for the Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Ops AI Platform role at Alan. You. Better. With Alan. Alan's vision is to make prevention the new norm of care for all. Our mission is to help people live in good health to 100 while helping employers feel proud, turning health benefits from a cost centre into their most valuable investment. About Alan We’re building a vertically integrated health partner that seamlessly unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery into one system. By connecting all aspects of care—private, public, and direct to consumer—we create the most member‑centric healthcare experience. Through deep engagement, we empower everyone to overcome day‑to‑day health obstacles and live healthier lives. 35K+ companies of all sizes More than 1M users, 770M+ in ARR 700+ people (still growing) Locations: France 🇫🇷, Spain 🇪🇸, Belgium 🇧🇪, Canada 🇨🇦 People joining Alan are always surprised and delighted by our innovative working method. We have a set of cultural values that guide our approach to work, such as: Mission is the Boss, Member & customer‑led, Champions of excellence, Distributed ownership, Radically transparent, Optimistic alchemy, Empathetic challengers, Bold contrarians, Disciplined execution, and Fight for simplicity. Ops AI Platform team We’re building something that doesn’t exist yet. Imagine a platform where AI agents autonomously handle operational work—connected to every internal and external tool, trained by operators themselves, running safely at scale. No engineers needed. No bottlenecks. Just agents that work. The Ops AI Platform will let our Ops team create, evolve, and monitor their own AI agents to automate thousands of tedious tasks. The project just launched; you’d join at ground zero—shaping the architecture, the product, and the entire foundation. North Star We’re building ops agents that work reliably and safely, without putting the engineering team on the critical path. Skills & Focus Areas Integrate agents at the heart of internal tools—UIs where Ops monitor and take action on concrete business situations, with context‑aware chat modals, allowing users to review agents’ reasoning, actions, and provide follow‑up instructions. Empower non‑technical users to become autonomous in the creation and maintenance of agents to automate operational tasks at scale: prompting, tool configuration, testing, datasets, replayability, evaluations. Build a complete set of tools made available to AI agents—connecting to internal and external capabilities such as internal business data, external servers, external web dashboards without API. Safety and accuracy at the core: robust testing, stateful evaluation, progressive rollout, human‑in‑the‑loop to validate sensitive actions, fine‑grained permissions and limits. In 6 to 12 months we plan to increase our scope by owning the AI platform that will power all agentic use cases at Alan—creating economies of scale thanks to common infrastructure and tooling. Responsibilities Work at the frontier of LLMs, tool calling, human‑in‑the‑loop, internal tools UX, multi‑agent architectures. Implement new capabilities for AI agents and tooling to make ops autonomous on the creation, evolution, monitoring, and evaluation of their agents. Build our system at scale—from a few dozen to tens of thousands of tasks automated daily. Influence system architecture and code quality. Mentor engineers, contribute to our product & engineering culture, and help build the team (including participating in hiring). Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a product engineer, with a strong background in full‑stack software engineering and systems architecture. Experience with traditional ML, LLMs, or ML‑dev‑ops is a big plus. Product‑minded: you want your solutions to be used and impactful. Self‑directed and pragmatic; humble and willing to grow (no matter seniority). Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching. Fluent in English (no need to speak French). Perks & Benefits Fair rewards: generous equity packages complement your base salary. Flexible office: amazing HQ space, sponsored co‑working hubs, or full‑remote with home‑office equipment sponsorship. All the tools you need: MacBook Pro, keyboard, laptop stand, monitor, noise‑canceling headphones. Flexible vacation policy and flexible working hours. Delightful healthcare insurance: extremely comprehensive health insurance—100% for you and your children, 90‑100% for partners depending on your country (permanent contracts only). Transport: country‑specific commuter benefits. Learning & training opportunities: free books and budget for conferences. Personal growth through coaching: every Alaner is paired with a dedicated coach from day one. Parental leave: extended parental leave for all new parents. Process Note: While you’re applying for a specific area, you may join a different engineering team based on where we think you’ll have the most impact. Check out descriptions of other areas here.
