Talan can sponsor a work visa for French, Mexican, and Canadian citizens.We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and work on Financial IT projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Core Java, in Multithreading, and be passionate about developing new features on Trade Platforms.Role and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Develop pricing and electronic markets applications.Work with traders, developers, quants, business analysts, and vendors to develop an effective platform.Collaborate with a team of global developers to set specifications for new processes.Provide second-line support for applications used by front-office users.Deliver presentations to Application Support, Trading, Quants, and other teams.Participate in the SDLC process and work to improve it continuously.#LI-ASDQualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in a Math, Science, or Engineering discipline.Minimum 5 years of software development experience using Java 7+.Experience in a front-office trading environment is mandatory.Strong skills in multithreading and concurrent programming.Experience with asynchronous and event-driven programming, developing real-time applications, and building distributed systems.Knowledge of networks and topologies.Solid understanding of common algorithms.Experience working with Linux environments, Oracle / SQL Server, and market connectivity protocols such as FIX.Excellent oral and written communication skills, proactive team player with a “can-do” attitude, and excellent analytical problem-solving skills.Desired skills:Experience in electronic trading (etrading).Knowledge of Bonds, Swaps, Equities, etc.The salary range for this role is US$115,000 - US$160,000.At Talan, we invest in our employees' well-being and empower them with benefits, including:401(k) retirement plan with company matching.15 days of paid vacation per year at hire and up to 27 according to seniority (annual untaken vacation days are cashed out).8 paid holidays, 5 sick days, and 2 personal days per year.Company health, dental, and vision insurance plans + FSA.Voluntary STD and LTD insurance options.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
