Mission The macro-economic research team is in charge of producing thorough analyses of the main economies and their interactions with market’s dynamics. It works closely with the Investment Management teams, holds regular meetings with Candriam’s clients, and maintains constant contact with the Media. Responsibilities Monitoring, analysing, and modelling macro-economic evolutions. Contributing to the global work of the team by maintaining and developing quantitative tools to support ongoing research; producing various basic inputs such as briefs, charts, slide packs. Profile A postgraduate degree in Economics with a strong capacity to use quantitative tools. Real interest in the construction and use of databases for applied research. Strong interest in macroeconomic and financial issues. Solid computing skills (knowledge of econometric software such as EViews or SAS is a plus). Some experience in applied economic research would be a plus: 1–3 years of professional experience in a research, market monitoring or analytical role. Organised and meticulous: high level of attention to detail and capacity to deliver high quality work. Drafting skills. Eager to learn as well as to explain. Enthusiastic and enjoys teamwork. Fluent in English and French; Dutch is a plus. Candidate criteria Education: Master’s Degree II / Bac+5. Minimum Level Of Experience Required: Less than 2 years.
