The Ocean Club offers a rich roster of activities including water sports such as snorkeling, sailing and wind-surfing along with land-based activities including world-class golf and tennis plus a relaxing spa.**Key Duties and Responsibilities*** Manage and maintain all operational equipment throughout the hotel including physical plant, guest rooms and public areas.* Develop, implement, and maintain efficient maintenance systems and work-order processes to ensure timely repairs, replacements, and special projects.* Maintain accurate departmental records, including inventory control, procurement and operating costs.* Supervise daily operations of the Engineering Department and ensure adherence to company standards and specifications.* Liaise with department heads to coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services.* Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Ocean Club Engineering Department.* Ensures all jobs are completed in accordance with the correct specifications and the standards required by the hotel.* Ensures all engineering staff comply with company policies, dress codes, and safety standards.* Maintains effective interdepartmental communication.* Responsible for the supervision of special projects.* Ensures emergency systems are in place and functioning at the highest level of efficiency.* Responds to any alarms that escalate into emergencies.* Develops employees and coordinates training programs.* Maintains sound knowledge of the company’s facilities and related services.* Maintains confidentiality of information always received.* Performs all duties and responsibilities to the standard set out by the company.**Required Skills & Competencies*** Strong computer skills, including proficiency with maintenance management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.* Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety regulations, and maintenance manuals.* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and vendors.* Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management.* Strong organizational and planning abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.* Sound problem solving and decision making skills, with a proactive and innovative approach to engineering challenges.This is an exciting time to join The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort.**Applicants that are interested in applying, please note that the position is based on The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort Property located in The Bahamas and is available to those individuals who possess a legal ability to work in The Bahamas without sponsorship.**Dedicated to perfecting the travel experience through continual innovation and the highest standards of hospitality, Four Seasons can offer what many hospitality professionals dream of -the opportunity to build a life-long career with global potential and a real sense of pride in work well done.
