Job Summary This position sits within the Equinix Global Design and Construction team (over 250 people) who deliver over 70 projects globally per year (in excess $3Bn capex). The Project Manager role is vital for the prosperity of our projects and will involve overseeing and managing various aspects of the datacentre project cycle from initial stages of the project, gaining stakeholder alignment, approval, and advance funding for design and pre‑construction activities, to overseeing the completion of the design and pre‑construction process, ensuring high levels of quality and safety, testing & acceptance, transition, site‑based day‑to‑day activities, and cost, schedule, safety. Overview Responsible for all aspects of data centre design and construction for a project from inception through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and hand‑over of an operating facility. The Project Manager may be responsible for one or more projects or multiple deliverables within a large project and will direct all partners, internal teams (Design, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, IT/Network) and external vendors. Responsible for driving a safe, quality‑first culture, ensuring applicable codes, standards, and construction practices are followed, and maintaining internal controls through effective contract administration. Responsibilities Management: Provides guidance to Construction Project Managers and internal stakeholders. Project Management: Manages one or more construction projects, leads by example on safety, standards, and culture, monitors progress, quality, compliance with building regulations, and risk registers. Vendor Relations: Directs external vendors per project and maintains high‑value relationships. Training Programs: Supports identification and development of training programs and cross‑functional training. Contract Administration: Manages contract processes including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and related documentation. Leadership: Directs internal and external project team members. Policy & Procedure Development: Manages best‑in‑class policies, procedures, project closure, hand‑over, and lessons‑learned processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction, construction project management and/or engineering, or equivalent experience. Site based in Paris Monday to Friday. Proven experience in project and construction management that includes critical infrastructure for datacentre, pharmaceutical, biotech or similar environments. Ability and willingness to travel. Customer focused, self‑motivated and flexible. In‑depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices. Experience in construction procurement methodologies. Experience in the adoption of off‑site manufacturing methods in construction. Proficiency in Primavera, Procore, Smartsheets, MS Office (including MS Project, Excel, Visio) is desirable. French and English language proficiency is a must. Agile, business‑savvy, collaborative, decisive and inclusive.
