The incumbent draws on a broad knowledge of immigration law, extensive investigative experience, and a well-developed contact network to investigate, detect, prevent, and analyze fraud related to visa and passport applications for U.S. immigration benefits within Mission France.

Mission France comprises the Embassy, two consulates, three American Presence Posts (APPs), and the Principality of Monaco.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive fraud prevention expertise in conducting document and visa fraud investigations.
• Train Mission staff and exchange information through a robust network of local and international contacts.
• Serve as the first point of contact for all consular-related fraud matters.
• Work independently, under the supervision of the U.S. Fraud Prevention Manager, to investigate visa and nationality fraud.
• Apply advanced interviewing techniques and fraud detection skills.
• Build and maintain a strong contact network.
• Distill complex information into actionable intelligence and reporting to inform visa adjudicators.
• Identify fraud trends and provide detailed detection, prevention, and analysis techniques.

Requirements:

• All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust (Low Risk-Non Sensitive) security clearance.
• All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam. Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (12 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements

EDUCATION:

• Without substitution (grade 9): Two years of post-secondary degree required and a minimum of four years' experience conducting fraud investigations including experience with analyzing documents such as travel documents, visas, and/or immigration nexus is
