Senior Communications Manager – Analyst Relations Join Canonical – a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of open source, the publisher of Ubuntu, one of the world’s most important open‑source projects. About the role You will be the trusted voice of Canonical toward analysts and industry influencers, driving communications strategy through the analyst relations channel to increase visibility among key stakeholders and shape market perception. Working closely with Product Management, Alliances, Sales and Marketing, you will craft, execute and measure analyst‑focused communications plans that support product launches, partnership announcements and other go‑to‑market initiatives. The role is data‑driven, leveraging AI‑powered market research and sentiment analysis to inform strategy and deliver insights to senior leadership. Location: Remote in the EMEA region. Responsibilities Prepare and execute analyst‑focused communications plans for product announcements, new partnerships and other initiatives. Use new technologies, including AI, to analyze market trends and assess analyst perception and sentiment. Ensure GenAI platforms developed by analyst firms contain accurate and relevant information about Canonical’s portfolio. Craft and deliver compelling narratives that align with the company vision. Manage analyst relationships directly, coordinating touchpoints throughout the year via briefings and industry events. Measure the impact of the AR program, reporting progress to leadership and implementing tools to improve collaboration and manage spend. Proactively position the company in key analyst reports to drive recommendations and strengthen the brand. Support the Director of Communications on Corporate Communications initiatives. Qualifications Extensive experience in market research, analyst relations or communications. Experience managing technology communications (agency or in‑house) or AR programs. Track record of delivering innovative and successful campaigns that enhance company positioning. Knowledge of cloud/SaaS/open‑source technology is an advantage. Analytical mindset and understanding of content that resonates with analysts. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to forge trusting relationships across teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and deliver quality work. Affinity for planning – experience with project management tools such as Jira is an advantage. Background in product management or product marketing is a plus.
