Senior Ship Repair Manager Marseille, France Ship RepairDepending on Experience The RoleA well-established marine company based in Marseille is seeking an experienced Senior Ship Repair Manager to lead and oversee complex ship repair, refit, and dry-dock projects.This is a senior operational role with responsibility for planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple repair programs, acting as the key point of contact for clients, technical stakeholders, and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage ship repair, refit, and dry-dock projects from planning through to completionCoordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and service providers across multiple workstreamsAct as primary interface with owners, technical managers, class societies, and surveyorsPlan schedules, resources, and workflows to meet time, cost, and quality objectivesMonitor progress, resolve technical and operational issues, and manage prioritiesControl scope changes, variations, and additional works during repair periodsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsTrack and report KPIs relating to schedule, cost control, and operational performanceSupport estimating and commercial activities with technical inputMentor and support junior managers and supervisorsThis Role Would Suit Someone Who:Has significant experience in ship repair, refit, or dry-dock project managementHas operated at senior project or superintendent levelIs confident engaging with owners' representatives, class, and senior stakeholdersBrings strong leadership and organisational skillsIs commercially aware and operationally focusedPerforms effectively in fast-paced, multi-project environmentsPreferred BackgroundSenior experience in ship repair or marine operationsBackground as a Chief Engineer, Chief Mate, Superintendent, or Ship Repair Manager advantageousStrong understanding of class requirements, ISM, and safety management systemsExperience working with international teams and contractorsFrench required; English an advantageEU right to work preferredWhat's on OfferSenior leadership role within a reputable marine companyLong-term opportunity with significant operational responsibilityCompetitive remuneration package aligned with seniorityHigh-visibility position within a busy maritime environment
