OverviewSenior Lead Developer at Veepee. Pioneer of online flash sales since 2001 and key player in European e-commerce. Operating across sectors including fashion, home, wine, travel or beauty, Veepee achieved a turnover of 3.3 billion euros incl. VAT in 2024 and employs 5,000 staff across 10 countries.Role and responsibilitiesLead developer directly integrated in a team handling part of our zero vendor lock-in, fully open-source private cloud, VeepeeCloud.Define technical guidelines for the team based on technical needs. Work closely with the Product Owner and other roles (developers, SRE, etc.).Choose the most appropriate technologies regarding the needs.Discuss trade-offs between architectural choices, both theoretically and in practice.Discuss infrastructure decisions with SREs.Provide guidelines and ensure the team follows them.Guarantee a high quality of code with respect to processes.Manage a team of developers and report directly to the Head of Cloud Engineering.Senior level with previous experience as a Team Lead including management.Excellent coding abilities in at least one core programming language: Go, Rust or Scala.Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, such as Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible.Experience as an SRE/DevOps is preferable but not mandatory.Ability to learn on the go and quickly pick up new technologies or APIs.Strong knowledge in monitoring, fault-tolerance, durability, and scalability in a multi-datacenter environment.Agile mindset and open-source contributor.Result- and product-oriented.Projects and domainsDevelopment, Operations and Maintenance of VeepeeCloud services, such as: Terraform provider for internal resource consumption, CLI client.Development, Operations and Maintenance of our Content Server, responsible for media publication on Veepee’s website (media publication API, CDN warmer).Development, Operations and Maintenance of our Generative AI gateway (LLM Provider integration, LLM consumption accounting).Benefits and work styleFlexible Office with up to 2 days at home.Flexible retribution package (including Medical Insurance).Dynamic and creative environment within international teams; participation in meetups and conferences locally and internationally; self-education courses on our e-learning platform.The opportunity to work in a fast-growing, technology-driven company with a focus on cloud-native and open-source tooling.Privacy and equal opportunity We are committed to equal opportunity and to reviewing all applications received on an equal basis.
