Global Architecture Team In 2024 we merged separate country codebases into global, configurable modules. The Global Architecture team is central to this transformation, enabling any team at Alan to develop and launch features seamlessly across markets, aligned with the 2025 technical strategy. Responsibilities Design cross‑cutting modules that transform country‑specific implementations into elegant global components. Remove technical blockers for product teams across domains, eliminating the need for team‑specific workarounds. Orchestrate data transformations to harmonize different countries' data models while preserving local flexibility. Own the full lifecycle of solutions from design through long‑term maintenance, building, deploying, and maintaining them. Why This Role Matters Focus on high‑impact, cross‑domain solutions that affect multiple teams. Enable teams without replacing them, working on technical obstacles that prevent global‑first solutions. Learn and share globalization patterns and best practices with other teams. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience building and maintaining code. Ability to navigate complex systems across business domains and technical boundaries. Experience with diverse architectural patterns and trade‑offs. Skill in spotting and resolving blockers that affect multiple teams. Willingness to mentor colleagues and contribute to hiring. Fit Criteria Well‑versed in object‑oriented programming in Python, Java, or C# and enthusiastic about modern JavaScript. Open to learning Python and JavaScript. Passionate about building products and self‑starting. Humble and willing to grow across seniority levels. Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching. Fluent in English.
