In a world whereembedded systems control critical infrastructure from transportation to energy and communicationsecuring these platforms is no longer optional.We develop certified, ultra-secure embedded software solutions, including:ProvenCore: the world’s most secure operating system, Common Criteria EAL7 certifiedProvenVisor: a lightweight hypervisor designed for embedded environmentsProvenBox: our plug-and-play Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for secure deployment of sensitive applicationsAs a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will help us expand our presence in the embedded cybersecurity market.The FAE position is a crucial member of the ProvenRun team, responsible for the technical interface with our clients. Your mission will be to promote ProvenRun product and service portfolio, particularly our highly secure operating system ProvenCore and our hypervisor ProvenVisor. You will work crossfunctionally with our product, sales, engineering, and support teams.You will support deployment, integration, and technical promotion of our solutions and play a vital role in customer success.Main responsibilities:Identify current and future client needs to ensure the success of their projects and collaboratewith them to find appropriate solutionsDevelop a network of contacts within the client’s organization to enhance cooperation andbecome a trusted partnerWork with the sales engineers to identify opportunities and convert them into won contractsto achieve sales objectivesGenerate, prepare, and present proposals, specifically the technical aspect, of ProvenRun incollaboration with the product and integration services teamsTake charge of product evaluations at client sitesActively participate in support and project execution activities to ensure a high level ofcustomer satisfactionPotentially handle training and consulting assignmentsPrepare for and participate in public events such as trade shows, seminars, etcWe’re looking for a proactive, technically strong, and customer-focused engineer with a hands-on mindset and the ability to manage technical conversations at all levels.Proactive, problem-solving, and customer-orientedStrong communication skills and ability to build trust with customersAdaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable with autonomyHigh integrity, honesty, listening ability, communication skills, teamwork, autonomy,motivation, and professional rigorAbove all, an excellent attitude, customer orientation, and a desire to make a differenceTechnical skills5+ years in cybersecurity / embedded / cryptography fields and technical customer facingpositionExperience with at least one of the following OS/RTOS: Linux (Yocto or buildroot), VxWorks,QNX, Integrity, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or othersProcessor architectures: ARM Cortex-A, Cortex-M, and RISC-VLanguages: C/C++, RUST, and Python would be advantageousDevelopment environment and debugger: GDB, Eclipse, or equivalent.Communication stacks: TCP/IP, OpenSSL, IPSEC, IKE, Routing, Bridging, QoS, VLAN.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of German is a plus.Good knowledge of embedded hypervisorsKnowledge in the following areas would be highly appreciated:Security architecturesApplied cryptographyCertification for functional safety: DO-178, IEC-61508, etc.Certification for cybersecurity: Common Criteria, SESIP, DO-356, IEC 62443, WP-29,ISO/IEC 27000.
