The opportunity

IXO is recruiting Financial Forecaster practitioners to evaluate AI-agent work inside the application. A plausible final number is insufficient: the run must use the right model state, evidence, accounting basis and completed actions.

Required operating knowledge

You must use Financial Forecaster weekly or more in current or recent forecasting, covenant or reporting work, and have at least five years in FP&A, financial reporting, technical accounting, treasury/lender reporting or controllership.

Required fluency includes:

  • Cubes and hierarchies; scenario parents, inheritance, overrides, locks and acceptance dates; identifying input versus calculated accounts and formula changes versus assumption overrides; saved views, exports, CSV units/scales and tool limitations.
  • Scenario, driver, policy and planning notes, assumption logs and variance commentary; identifying the locked or accepted forecast of record; a newer forecast does not automatically replace it.
  • Reconciliation at the exact time, entity, department, product, region, debtor and aging coordinates, with correct period, LTM and YTD interpretation; reconciling conflicting in-world sources and deciding which one governs.
  • Consolidation boundaries, amendments and waivers; frozen-GAAP covenants, test periods, fixed-charge coverage, total net leverage, capped EBITDA add-backs, consolidated funded indebtedness, borrowing-base eligibility, redeterminations and authorized signatories.

Review and improve the task

Inspect compliance and borrowing-base certificates, lender packs, board/committee pre-reads, earnings releases/reconciliations, disclosure-committee memos and workpapers alongside the agent’s actions. Check conclusions and whether proposed corrections were actually applied. Find tasks made trivial by shortcuts, leaked answers or weak scoring, then revise prompts, seeded environments and grading gates.

Distinguish GAAP, non-GAAP and covenant measures.

Evaluate written determinations for nonrecurring exclusions, reconciliations, equal prominence and restatement after definition changes. Relevant reporting judgments include AICPA prospective financial information: forecasts versus projections, comparable-likelihood ranges and objective support; ASC 205-40 going-concern windows; ASC 280 segments/CODM; SAB 99/Topic 1M materiality; Release 33-10751 KPIs; Regulation S-K 303 MD&A; and valuation allowances under discrete versus annual-effective-rate tax treatment.

Outputs are reviewed agent runs, reproducible findings, corrected task/world designs and usable grading guidance. Explain which model coordinates and evidence support each result.

Helpful additional experience

Covenant/borrowing-base work, going concern or impairment, segment reporting, SEC/disclosure-committee processes and multiple models/entities are advantageous. CPA, CFA and MBA qualifications are welcome but not required.

Engagement and pay

Remote IXO expert work pays $75 - $120/hr USD. Approximately 40 hours per week is indicative; actual workload, duration, scope and rate will be agreed before starting. Software access arrangements are defined for the assignment, not guaranteed by this listing.

Use public, synthetic or explicitly authorized material. Do not expose confidential employer/client data or material nonpublic information.
