Semarchy is hiring an experienced, curious, and customer-obsessed Product Manager to join its Product Success team.
Based in the Lyon area, our team is composed of creative, motivated, and talented people who build innovative applications for data management. If you have a penchant for B2B technology solutions and want to help shape how enterprises deliver trusted data to people, applications, and — increasingly — AI agents, we would like to hear from you.
The ideal candidate has experience as a product manager or product owner in the B2B, SaaS, or technology space, a strong instinct for discovery and customer research, and a genuine taste for building products with high, demonstrable business value.
Job Description
Semarchy has grown into an industry leader in the data management space. We're searching for a Product Manager to help expand the Semarchy Data Platform (SDP) and support our development teams. As a Product Manager, you are one of our core creative talents. Reporting to the Head of Product Management and working closely with engineering, design, and the field, you will turn customer problems and market evidence into product capabilities that customers value — and pay for. Your goal will be to increase the adoption and market fit of the Semarchy Data Platform.
You will own your product scope end-to-end: discovering what customers actually need, framing the problems worth solving, prioritizing ruthlessly, shaping the roadmap, and partnering across teams to bring capabilities to market successfully.
Your early focus is likely to involve Semarchy's AI-oriented capabilities — such as agentic access to governed Data Products and AI-assisted stewardship — so experience or genuine enthusiasm in this area is a real advantage. As with any growing product organization, scope and responsibilities will be shaped together and are expected to evolve over time. We are therefore looking for someone adaptable and curious, who thrives when the problem space is still taking shape.
Responsibilities
- Discovery & customer research: Run structured problem discovery — investigate problem spaces, validate pain intensity and business impact, map current alternatives, and confirm willingness to change. Engage continuously with customers and partners, including active participation in design partner programs.
- Focus on customer value: Anchor every decision in customer outcomes rather than mechanisms. Be able to articulate the customer, the problem, and why it matters — and bring that evidence into product decisions.
- Roadmapping & prioritization: Own and maintain the roadmap for your area with regular reviews, clear milestones, and transparent change rationale. Prioritize using evidence rather than assumption, make deliberate trade-offs, and contribute to a monthly-updated, prioritized roadmap that reflects what the market actually needs.
- Delivery: Partner closely with engineering and design through the full product delivery lifecycle, from discovery to release. Produce specifications and UI concepts, and refine and organize the product backlog — shaping the end-to-end experience, not just features.
- Commercialization & field enablement: Play a key role in the commercialization process, coordinating the activities within your scope — such as internal training, previews, enablement, and messaging — so releases reach customers fully field-ready. Contribute captivating documentation and customer-facing assets (blogs, whitepapers, solution briefs) that help the field and marketing communicate value, and participate in commercialization retrospectives.
- AI-oriented capabilities (initial focus): Shape how customers connect their enterprise AI ecosystem to governed, trusted data (e.g., agentic / MCP-based access). Explore and validate AI-assisted stewardship and governed AI participation, and help translate fast-moving AI research and prototypes into shippable, differentiated value.
- Evangelism: Champion Semarchy products to internal and external audiences — talking to customers, partners, industry analysts, and field personnel — and feed their input back into product strategy and prioritization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a product manager or product owner in the B2B, SaaS, or technology space, with a solid portfolio.
- Demonstrated strength in customer discovery and research — you have talked to many customers and turned what you heard into product decisions.
- A clear bias toward value and outcomes — comfortable challenging requests and reframing them around the underlying problem.
- Strong prioritization and roadmapping discipline, with the ability to communicate decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid experience in product ownership, including backlog management, requirem
