How we move fast – we fight complexity and focus on what matters: Disciplined execution; Fight for simplicity. ⭐️ The Account Executive (Retail) job We’re expanding our Retail segment Sales Team in France and are looking for a “full‑stack” Account Executive to engage with prospects and turn them into happy Alan customers. This team focuses on the Retail segment, interacting with everyone from HR executives to CEOs. Who are our customers? We specialize in companies that sell and distribute food and goods with direct access to customers (B2C). We have a strong focus on food distribution networks and fashion sellers that represent 75% of our market. Why is this vertical interesting? Market potential: a vast market with significant transformation and structural challenges. Team readiness: strategy honed over the years, high retention, stronger word of mouth, active field marketing. Passionate team: 10‑person team passionate about food distribution, fashion, e‑commerce, luxury or bricolage. Growth opportunity: economics improving, addressable market enormous. Day 1: grew from 0 to 30M€ ARR in 4 years, ready to scale further. What will you do with us? You’ll own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. In our Retail Sales team, the average sales cycle is 6 months, dealing with companies ranging from 20 to 600 employees, average ARR 150K€. At Alan, Account Executives drive deals and close strategic opportunities with prospects. You’ll educate prospects, provide inspiring product demos, and onboard key stakeholders, making the transition from prospect to customer seamless. We expect you to understand and apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method, ensuring the prospect experience is integral to the overall customer experience. You’ll also help us grow and improve as a company, challenging us to enhance our product(s), methods, and strategy, and getting involved in initiatives to expand our customer base. ⭐ Is it you we’re looking for? At least 4 years of experience managing the whole sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. Interest in interacting with prospects from the Retail segment. Full working proficiency in French (C2+) and advanced level in English. Highly organized with exceptional follow‑up skills. Empathy and passion for understanding and solving prospects’ problems. Influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus‑building. Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models. Great attitude and ability to collaborate in a small team. Eager to learn fast and make an impact from day 1. Location: Lyon, Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes or Strasbourg (or willing to relocate). Hiring level: C0–C1.
