About the position The VP, Sales will be responsible for achieving corporate annual revenue, gross customer retention, and net customer retention targets. Sales are fulfilled through channels, yet the Netskope sales force maintains a direct touch with CISOs, Network Security and Network Managers and their direct reports. The VP, Sales will ensure that transactions are properly structured to achieve profitability (Margin). Netskope is growth-oriented; the VP, Sales should have demonstrated success in growing and scaling a sales organization with a primary route to market through channels (VARs, GSIs and SIs). Responsibilities Provide superior leadership and vision; build, mentor, and motivate the sales organization to achieve rapid revenue growth. Offer visible and effective revenue leadership and customer advocacy within the Company, partners, and clients. Demonstrate leadership and vision that earns the respect of the organization and the Company as a whole. Sales management and administration: ensure the sales organization runs efficiently, professionally, and with integrity. Include: Accountability for business results, including annual and quarterly revenue targets, gross customer retention, net customer retention targets, market share targets within applicable market segments, and sales expense budgets. Monitoring and assessing performance against the plan to identify successes and leverage them. Accurate forecasting through the Company’s pipeline management system and regular forecast commitments to the Senior Vice President of Sales. Managing quota assignment, territory assignments, maintaining a productive sales force, and addressing day-to-day challenges. Staying informed about marketplace and industry trends; providing strategic leadership on these subjects to the Company. Operate as the senior sales leader in the region, collaborating with Channels, Sales Engineering, Support, and other functions to ensure customer satisfaction. Job Requirements 20+ years of experience in a Sales organization; SaaS experience preferred. 15+ years of sales leadership experience, including 5 years in a Vice President capacity with managing a group of first-line managers. Successful track record selling security and networking technologies (e.g., proxies, next-gen firewalls, SSL/IPSec, VPNs, SSO, DLP, encryption gateways) to Fortune 1000 companies. Verifiable track record of exceeding quota. Experience with key local resellers, national partners, and strong Channel Partner relationships. Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, retain, and motivate sales teams. Resides in the targeted geography with local relationships. Travel 50–75% within region.
