Environmental Permitting Associate

ERM is seeking a motivated Environmental / Permitting Specialist with demonstrated experience permitting capital projects in France to join our team in Paris or Lyon. The ideal candidate will have at 1- 2 years of experience in a consulting company.The candidate should have technical expertise in environmental permitting effort in France, providing support for the development of large-scale capital expansion projects, possessing understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in line with national and ideally international requirements of Lender institutions. Renewable energy and / or data centers permitting experience is a plus.The consultant’s main responsibilities and tasks will be to:Drafting of the Environmental aspects of projects, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), Environmental Management Plans or Systems and post monitoring projects.Perform on site audit/assessment to support ESDD, ESIA and other impact assessment and monitoring projects.Conduct environmental field work and help to supervise the subcontractors to do the work compliance and safely.Provide support with writing project reports in accordance with the requirements of ERM’s project management system, including undertaking research and analysis.Elaborate the development of proposals for key clients.Good communication skills – including oral, written and presentation skills.Proficient in English.
