About the Role

The Senior Project Developer will participate at the development strategy to expand and strengthen the solar project pipeline with high-quality, feasible, and profitable opportunities. In this role, you will actively shape and advance projects from early stage through to the "ready-to-build" stage, ensuring their technical, financial, and regulatory viability. You will define and implement tailored development strategies for the French projects, in close alignment with overall company objectives. A key part of your mission will be to build and maintain strong partnerships with local stakeholders and authoritie

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage solar PV projects throughout all development stages
  • Provide strategic insights and support to the French development team, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy
  • Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, timelines, and milestones.
  • Ensure project feasibility and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Liaise with public authorities, municipalities, and local stakeholders to obtain all required permits and authorizations for construction and operation.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate with internal and external advisors (technical, legal, tax, insurance).
  • Monitor solar industry developments, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and represent the company at professional associations, conferences, and trade fairs.
  • Take ownership of project reporting and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Promote best practices and contribute to continuous improvement in project development process

Your Profile

  • University degree (Bachelor's or higher) in Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, Economics, Geographic, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of 5 years in renewable energy project development minimum, ideally solar PV, with successful delivery of projects to ready-to-build stage.
  • Strong knowledge of permitting processes, land acquisition, agrivoltaics, or grid connection requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills with a confident, persuasive presence.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
  • High willingness to travel and ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and accountability.
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
  • High resilience and problem-solving capability in complex regulatory and political environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with both local communities and senior executives.
