Senior Agentic Data Engineer

OverviewSenior Data Engineer – Agentic Data Engineer in K product team. You will be at the heart of our mission to accelerate data-driven biomedical discoveries at scale. You will contribute to building and maintaining a virtual assistant system for Biomedical researchers that uses agents and tools to explore public biology knowledge, Owkin proprietary data and client data in order to power drug discovery decisions. Please submit your CV in English.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain a data-intensive applicative stack including large language models components (agents, tools, retrieval-augmented generation) and visualization capabilities for omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics)Build, optimize and maintain data architectures (e.g., datalakehouse) for real-time data analysisDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow to process large-scale, complex datasetsEnable Applied AI teams to compute, store and index data for making it explorable by the agentic systemCollaborate with product managers, engineers and scientists to implement features that benefit drug discovery practitionersSupport and improve CI/CD pipelines and development workflowsParticipate in incident response to ensure high availability and reliabilityAbout you / QualificationsRequired qualifications / experience:Experience in architectural design of complex data platformsExperience with an applicative stack deployed in a cloud-based infrastructureExperience in maintenance of ETL pipelinesDemonstrated attention to quality and engineering processes, including observability and securityProficient in technologies like Airflow, AWS ecosystem or other cloud providers, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Infrastructure as CodeExperience with PythonFull professional proficiency in English (team distributed across Europe)Preferred qualifications/bonus:Experience in building AI Engineering / LLM-based systemsExperience in building machine-learning based systemsFamiliarity with omics data or other medical data modalitiesWhat we offerFlexible work organizationFriendly and informal working environmentOpportunity to work with an international team with high technical and scientific backgroundsRecruitment Process & SecurityPlease complete the form and submit your CV.Owkin is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
