EU Area Manager – Tatcha EU (based in Paris, Champs Elysees) Business Context Tatcha is a modern skincare brand rooted in timeless Japanese rituals of well‑being. We are experiencing exceptional growth across Europe through our exclusive partnership with Sephora and are now seeking an experienced EU Area Manager to join our dynamic team. The Role Description EU Area Manager – Tatcha EU (based in Paris, Champs Elysees) with frequent travel across Europe – France, Italy, Spain, and other EU markets. The EU Area Manager will lead and inspire Tatcha’s field team across multiple European markets, ensuring excellence in retail execution, education, and brand experience within Sephora stores. This role is pivotal in driving sales performance, delivering flawless retail standards, and amplifying brand love through exceptional in‑store experiences. You will partner closely with Sephora country teams, local trainers, and internal cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure Tatcha is consistently presented as a leading prestige skincare brand across all markets. In this role you will report into the Head of Retail UK & EU, line‑manage a field team of brand specialists across multiple countries, and have a base in Paris Champs‑Elysées store as this is our #1 focus door. Key Responsibilities LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Brand Ambassadors across France, Italy, Spain, and additional EU markets. Engagement and development of frontline team. Provide regular support, review performance against targets and conduct Annual Appraisals in line with ongoing feedback. Build a high‑performance culture focused on productivity, accountability, and exceptional client experience. Partner with Education to design and deliver tailored training and development plans that elevate field capability. Continuous recruitment of vacancies to agreed manning level budget. Development of new starters to have a full Welcome to Tatcha induction. SALES & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Drive sell‑out performance across all doors through strategic focus on priority doors and hero SKUs. Drive retail performance and exceed goals at all points of sale. Analyse sales trends and productivity metrics to identify opportunities and implement targeted growth plans. Analysis of sales by door and implementation of appropriate strategies to drive sales/ranking in each account. Partner with Sephora retail teams to optimise stock, assortment, and merchandising across top‑performing and development doors. Establish strong relationships and communicate regularly with retail partner store team to discuss brand performance and initiatives to surpass sales objectives at each point of sale. RETAIL EXCELLENCE & BRAND EXPERIENCE Ensure brand execution in‑store aligns with Tatcha’s luxury positioning and visual merchandising guidelines. Regularly audit store standards and coach teams on best‑in‑class execution. Manage the team’s rotas and holiday tracker to ensure maximum coverage. Maintain merchandising as per guidelines to ensure brand is represented at the highest levels. Review stock holding levels consistently and work to resolve any issues. Support the rollout of brand activations, events, and launches across EU markets, ensuring a seamless customer journey. Execute impactful store events that meet brand standards. Follow company budget parameters and careful use of company resources to achieve end‑goals. Timely return of all phone calls, e‑mails and communication from both retail partners and the corporate offices. In‑store sales support and education/coaching that makes a meaningful, lasting impact on store brand awareness and productivity. Engage retailer store staff with ongoing brand training sessions. Regular travelling is required. BUSINESS PLANNING & REPORTING Provide regular feedback and insights on performance, competitive activity, and opportunities. Support the Head of Retail in creating monthly business reviews and strategic market development plans. Key Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Field Management, Area Manager, or Retail Operations role within the prestige or luxury beauty industry. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, fluent in English and French; Italian or Spanish a plus. Proven experience managing multi‑market field teams and driving performance across multiple European countries. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of exceeding sales and productivity targets. Deep understanding of luxury retail environments and consumer behaviour within Sephora or similar selective retailers. Passionate about skincare, education, and delivering exceptional client experiences. Willingness to travel frequently across Europe (approx. 50–60%).
