We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager in Paris, France.

The Retail Division at MICHAEL KORS is a continuously growing network of more than 30 Outlets, 80 Lifestyle stores, 100 Concessions/Shop in Shops in 21 European Countries. Our EMEA Retail team is passionate, driven, multicultural and has a wonderful international spirit.

Who You Are:

Leading an area with responsibility for all aspects of the management of shop in shop locations and concessions, the Area Manager is responsible for building and leading a team that is dedicated to driving the business. The Area Manager is also responsible for meeting all operational budgets and developing and maintaining a proactive business plan.

What You'll Do:

People

  • Inspire, lead and coach the store management team to create a culture of performance delivery and accountability
  • Recruit top talent to drive team retention, provide training and developing staff to build a team of true MK Ambassadors
  • Proactively manage and resolve all HR issues in collaboration with HRBP
  • Partner with HR and Finance to review PTS, identifying opportunities to improve
  • Practice and role model the company behaviours, ensuring effective use of the behaviour tool kit

Service

  • Provide coaching and support to assist MK Ambassadors in resolving customer service issues, empowering the teams to make decisions in the customer's best interest
  • Ensure all stores across the area drive additional revenue through local customer events
  • Build and maintain good communication with District Manger and members of corporate office, mall office, retail partners and other stores, collaborating and influencing to drive performance across the area

Sales

  • Analyze reports and develop action plans to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Work with Team on Quarterly Planners to ensure the best business plans are set to achieve targets
  • Track and communicate business results and opportunities, driving sales and product needs
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to build strong relationships and identify marketing opportunities

Operations

  • Ensure store maintenance is aligned to brand standards
  • Maintain a systematic auditing program
  • Support responsibility including all inventory needs for the integrity and accuracy of all logistics relating to the stores
  • Develop and lead peak planning and sales set up
  • Design and implement processes and procedures which allow the effective management of store teams remotely
  • Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies
  • Lead and coach the teams to ensure the presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction
  • Plan and Travel with purpose, ensure all doors are visited in line with performance, 3 days per week dedicated to store visits

What You'll Need:

  • Relevant proven retail and management experience within a fast-paced retailer
  • Experience managing shop in shop locations and teams remotely
  • Able to drive business and ensure the store goals are met
  • Able to work as a charismatic and inspirational leader
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent English
