The position is based at the headquarters in Paris. You may have a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days of presence every 15 days.The Senior Innovation Project Manager - Small Molecules will be responsible for coordinating a Chemistry program that is part of a global initiative called IPCEI.The IPCEI is an unprecedented and ambitious innovation program that aims at reinventing current production processes with a strong focus on competitiveness and environmental performance enhancement. It is composed of 3 projects each of them focused on a specific technological area.It will start with an intensive R&D phase conducted in collaboration with several external partners from academia or industry. It is a unique opportunity to develop high-level science and then implement it in EUROAPI's practices.This initiative is designed to enhance our capabilities and offerings. It will contribute to enable EUROAPI to achieve state-of-the-art expertise.The Senior Innovation Project Manager works in a team composed of 3 Project Managers under the supervision of the IPCEI leader that ensures cross fertilization and team spirit. The IPCEI team works at the crossroad between the company’s departments in the HQ and on EUROAPI’s industrial sites : R&D and industrial operations but also support functions such as finance, legal, procurement…The Senior Innovation Project Manager - Small Molecules evolves in close collaboration with a Chemistry innovation expert that is responsible for the scientific strategy.The role requires strong program coordination capabilities, in addition to solid project management, organizational skills, and technical knowledge. The incumbent will manage a portfolio of ca. 20 R&D projects focused on API manufacturing process development for small molecules, with the support of multiple project managers.This position necessitates a strong interest in innovation and ability to evolve with various stakeholders internally and externally.Key AccountabilitiesCore responsibilities :Plans / tracks / reportsAlerts on risks, identifies opportunitiesEnsures Project execution in time and within the assigned budgetEnsures deliverables are clear by setting targets and closely monitoring the work doneDevelop capex and opex plans to support the project executionCommunicate progress and outcomes to managementEnsures successful execution of the projectEnsures appropriate resource allocation by line managementCoordinates external network of partners, sub-contractors and service providers including contract management and regular follow-up, ensures deliverables are metCoordinate project team members (R&D, Industrial operations, strategy, sales) and project managers to prepare all data required for Euroapi stage gate processProcess Transfer / InternalizationResponsible for the internalization of all relevant technology developed with external partners to Euroapi.Facilitates the transfer of processes from third-party entities to Euroapi sites as well as between Euroapi facilities.Education / ExperienceEngineer, PhD or equivalent education in Organic Chemistry or Chemical EngineeringSolid experience in the management of API Process Development projectsTechnical skills & Behavioral CompetenciesProficient in translating technical data into content for stakeholder communication.Ability and willingness to convinceExcellent oral and written communication skills in French and EnglishStrong understanding of change managementAbility to progress in uncertaintyWillingness to collaborate across different functionsStrong personal initiative and proactive approachEffective participation and influence in team settingsStrong skills in communication and negotiation with key stakeholders (internal and third parties)Ability to work effectively through othersStrong scientific track record in Process Chemistry and / or Chemical EngineeringProven track record in execution of major projects in the domain of API process developmentCMC background related to API process development and / or experience of external collaborations and contracts management is a plusOur companyEUROAPI is focused on reinventing active ingredient solutions to sustainably meet customers’ and patients’ needs around the world.
