We have a golden opportunity for youWe are looking for well experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our Paris teamYour MissionThe Senior Java Backend Engineer will take an active role in the design and development of Digital Card Services for Entrust Instant Financial Issuance solution.The solutions are built using Java and a modern Web technology stack that employs the latest industry required security standards. The qualified candidate will work with minimal supervision and utilize knowledge, experience and judgment to accomplish goals.ResponsibilitiesDesign, test, deploy, debug, and implement Java/Spring Boot software applications and services.Effectively apply Agile (Scrum) methodology to track progress and enforce project standards.Knowledgeable about secure development life cycle, threat modeling, and web application security assessments.Participate in requirements definition, documentation, and code reviews.Contribute to the estimation of work for the team by defining task breakdown, project duration and concurrent effort.Assist in production escalation and problem resolution.Review and unit test code from others on team.Develop and maintain automation and CI/CD environments.Function independently with project assignments and with minimal supervision.Exhibit a process‑oriented mindset.Confidently interact and share skills with team members.Identify opportunities to drive innovation, accelerate product launches, and remove bottlenecks to deliver results.Basic Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent degree in a technology discipline.Minimum of 5+ years of experience with JAVA backend developments.Minimum of 3+ years of experience with Junit code testing.Experience with agile methodologies, and tools.Understand the concepts of business objects, layered design, data access objects, and design patterns.Experience with relational databases, and SQL languages.Minimum of 3+ Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.Experience with SaaS development and deployment.Autonomous but real team player, not afraid of challenges.Experience with RESTful API development and integration.Contribute to the estimation of work by defining task breakdown, project duration, and concurrent effort.Assist in production escalation and problem resolution.Identify opportunities to drive innovation, accelerate product launches, and remove bottlenecks to deliver results.Preferred Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMaster's degree in engineering.Minimum of 7+ years of experience with JAVA backend developments.Experience in SDLC environment.Experience with SaaS development and deployment.Experience in AWS environment.Experience developing a commercial/external software product.Experience in multi‑threaded and distributed platform.Elasticsearch experience.What we offerFlexible working conditions: 2-3 days a week in-office, modern working environment in the Spaces Les Halles co‑working centre in the heart of Paris.A collaborative atmosphere: join a close‑knit team where every idea is valued.Exciting projects: work on cutting‑edge technologies in the world of payment.1 week hackathon by year: an exciting time to work differently.Development opportunities: training and access to resources to develop your skills.Career Growth & Mobility: As Entrust has offices all over the world, mobility is one of the advantages we offer.Attractive benefitsHealth InsuranceLife insuranceLunch vouchersRTT days ( 13-15)Work council advantages such as vacation vouchers, culture vouchers, monthly activities, Christmas vouchers and gifts.Career GrowthCareer Growth: Whether you’re a budding developer or a seasoned expert, we’re invested in your professional journey.
