Your Role As Product Sales Manager for Stock Preparation, you will actively engage with customers in your region, generating interest in Valmet’s portfolio of advanced and energy-efficient solutions. You will oversee the full range of sales activities and build long‑term partnerships with pulp and paper mills. You will be assigned a portfolio of key “own customers,” for whom you will be responsible for developing long‑term strategies, plans, and business results within the Stock Preparation area. In close collaboration with our engineering teams, you will support the organization in preparing technical and commercial attractive proposals. Together with the lifecycle team, you will manage the entire sales process—from initial inquiry to negotiation and closing—ensuring that customers always have access to the best‑performing solutions for optimal production. This role includes extensive interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with colleagues across our global organization and support both our Service and Capital business. The position reports to the Director, PAC SER EMEA SPR. Who Are You? We are looking for a candidate who brings both strong technical capabilities and a customer‑oriented mindset, with: A degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field. Solid knowledge of the paper and/or board production process, with previous experience as a Process Engineer or Production Manager in a mill environment considered ideal. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with customers. Excellent command of French and good proficiency in English (spoken and written). A working style that is autonomous and proactive, curious and eager to learn, collaborative within a matrix organization, and strategic and solution‑oriented with strong planning skills. The role involves regular customer visits in the region, therefore proximity to the south of France (Bordeaux or Vitrolles) is preferred. A valid driver’s license and readiness for regular overnight travel (up to 50/75% of working days).
