Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Horticulture, or equivalent experience Experience At least 5 years related work experienceAt least 3 years B2B sales experience License or Certification As required by state and federal lawValid driver license issued by the state where employedCertified Landscape Technician (CLT) and/or other relevant licenses a plus Specialized Skills Strong internal and external customer serviceAbility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel extensively within assigned territoryExperience working the commercial property managers a plusExcellent oral and written communication, including advanced presentation skills in front of large groupsOrganizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesIntermediate understanding of CRM softwareIntermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsAbility to analyze and interpret business periodicalsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule formatAbility to read, write and comprehend English Physical Requirements Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walkFrequently required to drive short to long distancesMust be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focusFrequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controlsFrequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balanceOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Work Conditions Frequent travel required within assigned territoryOccasionally works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditionsOccasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicalsOccasionally exposed to loud noise levels Essential Duties / Responsibilities Interface with Operations management to develop, present and negotiate the recommended portfolio of services to ensure profitability and customer satisfactionManage opportunities through client database to provide visibility of sales efforts to managementDevelop contacts and prospects to ensure long-term profitability for Monarch and its customers through cold-calling, market research, and internal lead developmentGenerate job estimates/bid proposals, including scope of work, accurate site boundaries and measurements, and estimate of labor and materials in cooperation with operationsReply to client Requests for Proposal (RFPs) in a timely and professional mannerMeet or exceed established annual sales targetsAttend RFP pre-bid meetings and proposal presentationsMaintain relationships with key clients to seek out and take advantage of opportunities for networking and additional sales generationAttend staff and sales meetings to assess business opportunities and ensure mutual understanding of Monarch’s strategic focusFacilitate contact with existing and potential clients via trade shows, association events, and meetingsEnsure a smooth transition from contract signing to contract fulfillment by facilitating introductory meeting and site walk-through between client and operationsOther duties as assigned Total Rewards At Monarch, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage, and retain top talent.
