Responsibilities Design cross‑cutting modules that transform country‑specific implementations into elegant global components. Remove technical blockers for product teams, eliminating the need for team‑specific workarounds. Orchestrate data transformations, harmonising different countries’ data models while retaining local flexibility and consolidating existing data into unified schemas. Build and own your solutions across the entire lifecycle—design, deploy, maintain. What we’re looking for You write code and maintain what you build. At Alan there is no architect in an ivory tower; we implement what we design. You’re able to navigate complex systems spanning multiple business domains and technical boundaries. You’ve worked with diverse architectural patterns and can articulate the nuanced trade‑offs between them. You can spot technical obstacles that block multiple teams and design solutions that remove those obstacles. Is it you we’re looking for? You can tackle high‑impact & high‑risk projects involving many engineers. You’ll design efficient systems and engineering practices to align with and facilitate interactions between multiple teams and products. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor other engineers and lead crews. You’ll be involved in hiring and shaping the candidate experience. Qualifications Well‑versed in Object‑Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#, and enthusiastic about modern JavaScript. Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (you don’t need to have experience with both). Passionate about building products. Self‑starting and entrepreneurial. Humble and still willing to grow.
