This role requires deep technical knowledge, leadership in solving complex problems, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to both technical teams and business stakeholders. The SME ensures that software applications are scalable, secure, efficient, and aligned with mission or business requirements.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, coding, testing, and implementation of software applications and solutionsApply advanced knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and tools to develop efficient and reliable softwareEstablish and enforce best practices in coding standards, code reviews, and quality assuranceServe as the subject matter expert for software development methodologies, tools, and technologiesAdvise leadership, program managers, and stakeholders on technical strategies, risks, and solutionsProvide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior developers and engineersWork closely with systems engineers, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration across environmentsContribute to system architecture, ensuring software aligns with enterprise or mission objectivesOptimize applications for performance, security, scalability, and maintainabilityPartner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-quality productsParticipate in Agile/Scrum or other development methodologies, contributing as a senior technical resourceSupport proposal development, solution design, and technical roadmaps for future projectsRequired QualificationsDoD 8140 CertificationDesired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldProven track record as a technical lead or subject matter expert in complex software projectsAbout PingWindPingWind is focused on delivering outstanding services to the federal government.
