This multidisciplinary team leverages deep technical expertise with business acumen to tackle transformative challenges. You’ll collaborate with general consultants and clients on data‑driven strategies and human‑centric AI solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Lead Software Engineer, you will implement and refine technical solutions for diverse industries. You will engage in the entire engineering lifecycle: design, develop, optimize, and deploy sophisticated software solutions at production scale. Collaborate closely with consulting teams to identify and execute software solutions to client business problems. Serve as a technical lead delivering end‑to‑end solutions for client cases, from architecture to hands‑on development. Participate in the software development life cycle: design distributed systems, review documentation, conduct code reviews. Provide expert client advisory services in software engineering with distributed systems, AI, and application architecture. Develop reusable frameworks, models, and components to address common software engineering challenges across industries. Champion best practices and share learnings on theoretical and technical developments in software engineering. Lead innovations that translate into great impact for clients in case work. Influence, educate, and directly support the software engineering capabilities of clients. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing, data analysis, and software engineering. Travel is required. This position requires regional travel away from your home office. This role requires a minimum of three days per week working together in person, either at a client location or at your Bain home office. ABOUT YOU Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5 years minimum experience, 3+ years at Senior or Staff level. Technical Skills and Knowledge Python (4+ years). Server‑side frameworks: FastAPI, Node.js, Flask. Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP. Large‑scale databases, orchestration, and container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform. Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, automated testing, object‑oriented programming, performance complexity. Data architecture, database schema design, database scalability, SQL. Client‑side technologies: React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML, CSS. Agile development methodologies and principles. Professional fluency in English and French (oral and written). Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical solutions to colleagues and clients. Curiosity, proactivity, and critical thinking. Collaboration with people at all levels and multi‑office/region teams. Other Experience Relevant professional hands‑on experience in web development, programming languages, version control, software design pattern, infrastructure and deployment, integration and unit testing implementation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
