Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Windmill by 2x.About WindmillWe are building the next generation infra software, to deploy Windmill on your Kubernetes cluster or big VMs on a docker-compose, and have managed workers with low overhead managing all your small and heavy one-off jobs, and critical operational workflows and data pipelines.Product challenges include making it a delightful and intuitive experience, while keeping all the features and depth of a tool for developers. For instance, Windmill parses your code to extract the dependencies in Python/TypeScript, creates a corresponding lockfile, and also extracts the parameters from the main function signatures to generate an initial UI. It lets developers focus on the important part of the code while just taking care of all the boilerplate for you but giving escape hatches for managing dependencies manually and customizing the UI. All of that while also being the fastest workflow engine.We have 100+ enterprise customers with comfortable revenue, tier 1 investors (Google, Bessemer), and high growth. Team of 10 engineers. Hiring hybrid (~3 days/week in office) in Paris/France.Responsibilities Lead design and implementation across Rust and Typescript components of the Windmill platform. Deploy Windmill on Kubernetes clusters or large VMs via docker-compose, managing workers and data pipelines with low overhead. Ensure a fast, delightful developer experience while providing options to manage dependencies manually and customize the UI. Collaborate with a 10-engineer team and contribute after ramp-up with a strong sense of autonomy.Qualifications Senior backend engineer with Rust and Typescript experience. High autonomy and initiative after ramp-up.
