## Commodity Manager / Supply EngineerApply: Hybrid: Andrézieux, FR: Full time: Posted Today: R20017We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success – and their own. Reporting to the EMEA-I Sourcing Manager, you will manage sourcing activities for the Andrézieux site, overseeing $70M of direct material spend. The role focuses on cost optimization, supplier performance, supply continuity, commodity strategy execution, inventory reduction, and support of regionalization and dual-source initiatives. In addition, you will lead indirect procurement and Make-To-Order (MTO) sourcing activities for the site.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION* Manage all aspects of $25M direct material spend* Analyze and monitor international supply markets, including supplier, technology, cost, and risk developments* Develop and implement regional category strategies aligned with global sourcing initiatives* Select, evaluate, and develop suppliers, including implementation of second-source strategies* Independently prepare and conduct price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations with national and international suppliers* Drive cost management initiatives and identify sustainable cost reduction opportunities* Manage supply risks and bottlenecks for assigned product groups* Work closely with Engineering and Operations on technical clarifications, supplier decisions, and cross-functional projects* Contribute to global sourcing projects and cross-regional procurement initiatives* Support and accompany supplier audits (quality, processes, performance)* Report and manage supplier performance metrics – OTD; Quality, PPV* Lead quarterly supplier performance evaluations and scorecardsYOU HAVE:* Procurement & Category Management: + Several years of experience in strategic or technical procurement, ideally within Electrical / Mechanical + Experience at Professional or Senior Category Leader level + Strong background in supplier selection and development, price and contract negotiations, cost and value analysis, and international supplier management
* Technical Competence: + Ability to read, understand, and evaluate BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications + Proven experience working closely with Engineering and technical departments
* Confidence in technical discussions with suppliers, supported by Engineering
* Industry Exposure: + Experience in multiple of the following industries is an advantage: Industrial, Electrical power distribution, Railway, Data Center, Telecom
* Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: + Independent handling of international supplier negotiations + Confident interaction with internal and external stakeholders + Ability to moderate between different interests while remaining assertive and result-oriented + Close cooperation especially with Engineering and Operations / Supply Chain

+ French / English: fluent and negotiation level

Qualifications:
+ MS/Engineering Mechanical , Electrical or Master's Degree in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement are preferred + Suitable backgrounds include technical or commercial education with strong procurement experience, or a university degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Business Administration) + Practical experience and competence are more important than formal qualifications
