Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Position: Senior Accountant at Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence Location: Rungis (Paris) We are currently seeking an Accountant who will support the Finance Manager on preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses. The role involves performing month‑end closing steps, ensuring that accounting transactions are booked in accordance with applicable accounting standards, reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing balance sheet reconciliations. This position follows a hybrid working model with 2–3 days in office per week. Responsibilities Recording of AP/AR invoices, checking bank statements and recording bank transactions Document financial transactions by entering account information Manage account entries, documents, payments, and finances for the company Follow‑up and resolve past‑due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved Support month‑end and year‑end close process in accordance with the corporate reporting calendar and the business guidelines Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions Analyze financial information and summarise financial status Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Education / Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting finance and accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience Key Requirements Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process Excellent accounting software user and administration skills Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching accounting issues Deadline‑oriented Advanced Excel, knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs Strong planning and organising skills About Hexagon Hexagon is the global leader in enterprise software, empowering organizations to build a safer, more sustainable and efficient future.
