Head of the Hematology‑Oncology Service – Hôpital Saint‑Louis, Paris (Assistance Publique- Hôpitaux de Paris, AP-HP) Institutional Context: Renewal of a Head of service. The University Medical Department (DMU) of Hematology‑Immunology at Saint‑Louis, Robert‑Debré (Paris), and Avicenne (Bobigny) Hospitals – AP‑HP Nord – is recruiting a Medical Head for the adult hematology‑oncology service at Saint‑Louis Hospital, a leading center for the management of lymphoid malignancies (lymphomas and CLL). Anticipated start date: September 2026 – discussions with the governing body are possible depending on the selected candidate. The new Head of service will be responsible for modernizing the organization of care, consolidating the lymphoma/CLL pathway, and strengthening integration with clinical and translational research (Saint‑Louis Research Institute, biology and clinical trial platforms (Saint‑Louis Clinical Research Unit)). The medical unit Completely renovated and expanded in 2025, it offers: 22 inpatient beds in single rooms, dedicated to lymphoid malignancies: chemotherapy, immunotherapy, autologous stem cell transplantation, and CAR‑T cell therapy (80 in 2025). 7 day‑hospital places (15‑20 visits/day) within the hematology‑immunology polyclinic, which also hosts the department's outpatient consultations (4,000‑5,000/year). Activity focused on chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and innovative therapies. The medical team Consists of 1 Professor of Medicine, 2 Hospital Practitioners, 2 Associate Physicians, and 2 Assistant professors. Additional physician positions are planned with the service expansion; these will be filled by the future head of service. The service also has 2 residency positions in hematology, supplemented very regularly by a resident on inter‑hospital rotations. Main mission The Head of the Hematology‑Oncology service will lead the clinical, scientific, and educational activities of the service, with specific expertise in lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), as well as mastery of therapeutic innovations such as cellular immunotherapies, CAR‑T cell therapies, bispecific antibodies, and intensive treatments (autologous stem cell transplantation). He/she will be responsible for ensuring the quality of care, directing clinical trials, and fostering research development in these areas. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the medical and paramedical teams of the service in conjunction with the paramedical supervisor. Lead therapeutic innovation projects and clinical trials in the field of hematology‑oncology, particularly in lymphomas, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and cell therapies. Implement cutting‑edge therapeutic protocols, especially in immunotherapies. Contribute to the training and education of residents, junior physicians, and healthcare teams, within a framework of continuing medical education. Conduct basic and clinical research activities in collaboration with the hospital's research teams and academic partners. Skills and Qualifications Specialist physician in hematology and/or clinical immunology. Recognized expertise in lymphomas and CLL, with significant experience in cell‑based immunotherapies and clinical trials. Additional training or proven experience in therapeutic innovation (CAR T‑cells, bispecific antibodies, autologous stem cell transplantation). Team management and research project management skills. Strong teaching and mentoring abilities. Recognized expertise in the field of lymphomas is essential.
