Reporting to the Global HR Director, the Global EHS Manager defines, deploys, and drives the company's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy across all sites in the US and EMEA. This role ensures regulatory compliance, foster a strong safety culture, and supports operational excellence by minimizing risk, improving workplace conditions, and overseeing key facilities management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and deploy a global EHS strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Establish and maintain a robust EHS governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures across all sites.
  • Ensure alignment between global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the company's global subject matter expert for EHS matters.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, including OSHA requirements, EU directives, environmental regulations, and labor laws.
  • Lead risk assessments covering safety, environmental impact, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively manage compliance risks.

Operational EHS Support

  • Provide guidance and coaching to site leadership teams and local EHS representatives.
  • Support sites during audits, inspections, and crisis situations.
  • Partner with operations to balance business performance objectives with safety requirements.
  • Promote effective implementation of EHS programs across locations.
  • Develop and manage a global incident management framework.
  • Lead investigations of significant incidents and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure lessons learned are shared across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using performance data and trend analysis.

EHS Performance & Reporting

  • Define, track, and report key EHS performance indicators, including TRIR, LTIR, near misses, and environmental metrics.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards and leadership reports.
  • Ensure consistency, reliability, and standardization of EHS data across regions.
  • Benchmark performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Culture, Training & Leadership Engagement

  • Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture across all sites.
  • Design and deploy EHS training and awareness programs.
  • Increase leadership accountability for safety performance.
  • Lead communication and engagement initiatives related to EHS practices and expectations.

Audits, Certifications & External Relations

  • Lead internal and external audit programs.
  • Manage ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification activities.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure ongoing audit readiness across all locations.

Environmental Management & Sustainability

  • Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact, including waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the organization's ESG and sustainability roadmap.

Facilities Strategy & Operations

  • Define and implement a global facilities management framework covering maintenance, safety, services, and operational standards.
  • Ensure facilities and infrastructure comply with applicable local regulations, including fire protection, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Oversee preventive, corrective, and lifecycle maintenance strategies.
  • Drive workplace improvements related to space utilization, ergonomics, and employee experience.
  • Manage facilities-related budgets and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Select, manage, and evaluate external service providers, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and utility partners.
