Space Transportation Project Quality Expert

Within CNES, the Space Transport Directorate contributes to the development of the Ariane launch system, to the hosting of European Mini and Micro Launchers at the Guiana Space Centre and invents the space transport solutions of the future to enable autonomous and competitive access to space, to support promising projects, by accelerating the development of disruptive solutions or technologies. The Project Management Support service provides support for projects within the Space Transportation Directorate. In this capacity, it is responsible for proposing project management methods and tools adapted to the various modes of intervention employed by CNES with its partners and suppliers, while taking into account changes in CNES guidelines. Missions As part of the projects preparing for the future of Space Transportation, you are responsible for implementing project quality activities, in collaboration with the Project Manager. In this role, you will: Develop the applicable standards and project management processes in accordance with the Space Transportation project quality policy: management plan, management specification, documentation management plan, configuration management plan, quality plan, and risk management. You ensure its rigorous application. Contribute to the structuring of the project and in particular to the organizational note describing the missions of each project actor, the development plan and the project organizational charts. Facilitate the programmatic risk analysis of the project. For all projects within the Space Transportation Directorate, you act as a facilitator by providing the project management framework. In this capacity, you: Create and maintain best practice guides, project management methods and tools, taking into account feedback and developments within the Space Transportation Directorate. You will also participate in the development of project management training, ensuring compliance with this framework. Ensure that procedures applicable to project managers are kept up to date. Capitalize on this entire reference framework. Evaluate the quality and project management methods and tools implemented in other sectors or other CNES departments through active benchmarking, and are responsible for promoting them in space transport project teams. Apply problem-solving methods (cause analysis, risk analysis, decision support in particular) and operational excellence methods (flow analysis, Lean, visual management, Obeya). As part of these missions, you will interact autonomously with the multi-disciplinary teams of CNES and its industrial and institutional partners in order to work on improving processes and continuously optimizing the project management system. Position based in Paris Daumesnil (Paris 12th arrondissement). Occasional business travel is required. Profile You have at least 10 years of experience in the field of project quality. A good understanding of the ISO 9001 standard is essential. Experience in conducting audits would be an asset. You are rigorous, demonstrate critical analysis and synthesis skills. A good level of English is required (reading, writing, speaking).
