Technical Project Engineer

**Description**

Dawn Aerospace is looking for a **Technical Project Engineer** to join our R&D team in **Toulouse**. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing company in the space sector, and to contribute to the development of state-of-the-art space propulsion and in-orbit refueling technologies for satellites

As part of our innovative projects in
space propulsion and in-orbit refueling, you will play a key role at the interface between the engineering teams, technical partners and project management. You will be responsible for technical coordination, system design, as well as writing technical documentation in compliance with quality, cost and deadline requirements.

**Please note that this role is a temporary position for 7 months.**

**Responsibilities**

The purpose of the position is to:

- Design the architecture of the propulsion and in-orbit refuelling systems, defining and managing the associated requirements, interfaces and performance
- Produce the technical documentation of the project
- Contribute to the technical feasibility analysis of system design activities and the definition of Conops
- Ensure the technical coordination of the project

System design and engineering in propulsion and refueling in orbit:

- Identify, define and manage technical requirements
- Define the architecture of propulsion or in-orbit refueling systems in collaboration with technical experts, support system design activities
- Perform functional, interface and performance analyses
- Develop detailed technical specifications as well as project technical deliverables
- Carry out the selection of technical solutions adapted to the needs of the project
- Contribute to technical feasibility analyses, proposal of improvements and definition of conops

Project coordination:

- Plan and coordinate engineering activities (planning, deliverables, milestones)
- Organize and coordinate technical exchanges with stakeholders (internal, suppliers, partners, customers, etc.)
- Contribute to the management of risks, requirements and interfaces
- Prepare and conduct technical presentations
- Write the required project reports, technical documents and contractual deliverables

**Required Qualifications**
- Engineering degree or Master's degree in Aeronautics, Space, Mechanics or similar field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in systems engineering, ideally in space propulsion.
- Mastery of requirements management, architecture definition, functional analyses and drafting of technical specifications.
- Skills in project coordination, risk management and facilitation of technical exchanges.
- Good technical communication skills and professional English.
- Autonomy, rigor, spirit of initiative and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
