Lead Technical Safety / Loss Prevention Engineer Paris, France – Permanent (July 3, 2024) At DORIS you will be joining a fast‑moving and technically diverse environment. DORIS often takes engineering projects from feasibility to detailed engineering phases, developing innovative and optimized solutions for Oil & Gas, LNG, offshore wind, hydrogen and carbon capture. We undertake a wide range of work, offering variety, challenge and opportunities for original and innovative engineering tailored to each project. Job Description DORIS France is looking for an experienced safety engineer who will act as lead engineer on different projects covering all markets addressed by DORIS: Oil & Gas, LNG, renewable energies, new energies, offshore and onshore engineering, green and brown field projects. Your scope includes engineering projects and discipline development. Responsibilities Conduct, lead and coordinate technical safety documentation during engineering of projects. Participate in safety workshops (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL review) and chair when required. Participate in plot plan and 3D model reviews. Prepare and supervise site surveys, onshore and offshore. Follow up vendor technical work, including RFQ preparation, clarification and data review. Interface with clients and internal project teams. Coordinate safety engineers team. Prepare quotation offers, technical bid evaluation and follow‑up of subcontracted safety studies (FRA, ERA, EERA, QRA, TRA, dropped object study, ship collision study, etc.). Collaborate with other DORIS technical disciplines and report progress to project management. Discipline Development As lead of the safety discipline, you will maintain DORIS experience and adapt methodologies to market needs, involving R&D activities, development of engineering tools and supervision of trainees. Qualifications & Requirements Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering with specialization in industrial risk control, loss prevention or industrial safety. Minimum 10 years of offshore and onshore safety engineering experience for Oil & Gas projects. Fluent English (written and verbal). Good working knowledge of applicable regulations, codes of practice, international standards. Strong knowledge of PHAST and Pipenet. Familiarity with 3D model viewer software Navisworks.
