OverviewThe Senior Accountant France supports the French entities in all accounting and reporting activities in accordance with French GAAP and US GAAP. The role actively assists the CFO, who retains overall responsibility, by providing hands-on support in period-end closings, SG&A expense analysis, reporting requests from US headquarters and finance-related projects at both local and European level.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings for the French entities under French GAAP and US GAAPAssist in ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatory requirementsPrepare supporting schedules, reconciliations and documentation for statutory and group reportingAct as a key operational contact for accounting topics, supporting the CFO in day-to-day activitiesSG&A Expense AnalysisPrepare analyses and commentaries on SG&A expenses versus budget, forecast and prior yearSupport variance analysis and cost transparency for cost center ownersAssist in identifying cost trends and efficiency improvement opportunitiesPrepare reporting packages, analyses and ad-hoc information requested bySupport consistency and alignment between local reporting, group reporting and US GAAP requirementsAssist in responding to follow-up questions from group finance and auditorsProjects & Process SupportSupport finance-related projects (e.g. process improvements, system)Contribute to the documentation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controlsSupport internal and external audit activities under the guidance of the CFOQualifications & SkillsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or several years of relevant professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international environmentSolid knowledge of French GAAP and good understanding of US GAAPStrong analytical skills, particularly in SG&A expense and variance analysisExperience with ERP systems and very good MS Excel skillsFluent French and English (spoken and written)Hands-on, structured and detail-oriented working styleStrong team and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders #J-18808-Ljbffr
