OverviewJoin to apply for the Risk specialist - Insurance role at Alan.We are building a vertically integrated health partner that unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery. We work across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada with a team of 700+ people.Your roleAs Alan’s Risk Expert, you will provide automated and scalable risk assessment tools. Responsibilities include:Risk modelingStrengthen and automate the building of our Solvency 2 balance sheet and capital requirements projections for health, death, and disability linesModel new risks as they arise (new products, branches, international, investments, etc.)Challenge risk appetite, propose relevant risk metrics, and build monitoring toolsSupport board meeting preparation and communication with investors regarding capital evolution and market risksRegulatoryScale and automate regulatory quantitative reporting and contribute to narratives (SFCR, RSR, ORSA)Support discussions with supervisorsAssist assessment of international opportunities and opening of new countriesCapital managementPropose improvements to capital management across the four countries where Alan operatesManage reinsurance strategy to balance solvency and profitability; negotiate with reinsurance partners; analyze reinsurance reportingTeam growthCreate processes and resources to strengthen the team’s understanding of risk and capital constraintsSupport identification and hiring of new talents for Insurance and Risk teamsQualificationsSolid expertise in the Solvency II regulatory framework, with knowledge of Health, Life and Market risks is a plusFluent in English; written fluency in French for regulatory interactionsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, including data analysis capabilitiesAbility to automate processes and build new tools; programming skills are a plusRigor and reliability in reporting production; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholdersWillingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies with creative problem-solving approachesPerks & BenefitsFair rewards with generous equity packagesFlexible Office options: HQ office space, sponsored co-working hubs, or full-remote with home office equipment sponsorshipHigh-quality tools and equipmentFlexible vacation policy and working hoursComprehensive health insurance for you and your children; partial coverage for partners depending on countryCountry-specific commuter benefitsLearning & Training opportunities with flexible training policyPersonal growth through coaching from day oneParental leaveImportant note: we hire people, not roles.
