We're looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to own and scale theRuby on Rails layer of our AI-native data platform.You'll be responsible for the core B2B SaaS experience: dashboards,APIs, auth, permissions, and the product surface that both humansand AI agents rely on every day.Requirements7+ years of backend engineering experience , with deep experience in Ruby on RailsStrong track record building B2B SaaS products with complex dashboards and workflowsDeep understanding of PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, performance, data integrity)Hands-on experience designing and operating APIs at scaleSolid knowledge of authentication & authorization systems (OAuth, SSO, permissions)Strong grasp of system design , API boundaries, and long-term architectural trade-offsProduct-minded, autonomous, and comfortable operating with high ownership and ambiguityExperience with multi-tenant SaaS architecturesBuilt or maintained design-system-backed dashboards used by technical and non-technical usersFamiliarity with event-driven systems and background job processing (Sidekiq, Faktory, etc.)Experience working closely with frontend teams (React, GraphQL clients)Exposure to AI-powered features or systems used by automated agentsResponsibilitiesOwn the Rails backend powering our B2B SaaS product and internal APIsDesign and evolve a clean, expressive GraphQL API used by both the web app and AI agentsBuild robust systems for auth, permissions, organizations, billing, and environmentsPartner with frontend engineers to deliver high-quality dashboards and workflowsEnsure correctness, performance, and maintainability of our Postgres data modelsMake architectural decisions that balance product velocity and long-term scalabilityShape engineering culture, raise the bar on code quality, and mentor othersAct as a technical owner for large product areas, from conception to productionApply for Staff Rails EngineerFirstnameLastnameEmailOptionnally include your linksLinkedIn ProfileMessage🏠Hybrid Remote WorkWork from home and in our beautiful Paris office.EquityIncentivized for long-term success.Time Off30+ days of paid vacation a year.5,000€ budget for MacBook Pro (or equivalent) and accessories.Transportation Reimbursement50% of your commute costs covered.Daily meal vouchers to enjoy lunch.Health InsuranceAll-in-one health insurance through Alan.Learning & DevelopmentSustainabilityIncentives for eco-friendly commuting and sustainable practices.Funding AnnouncementWe're excited to announce our latest funding round with leading investors supporting our mission.The stack is broken: slow, fragmented, reactive.
