At Doctolib, we build products that need to scale to millions of people throughout Europe and to yet remain easily maintainable by hundreds of developers.As an Engineering Manager, you will lead Doctolib’s Core Backend team, ATP, which manages the backend foundations for Doctolib. ATP is part of the Platform domain, whose mission is to build and maintain the common building blocks of our system with a "Platform as a Product" mindset.ResponsibilitiesYou will guide a team of talented engineers, foster a culture of technical excellence, and help shape the future of Doctolib’s backend platform. You will be both a technical leader and a people manager, coaching and training your team members while building an amazing engineering organization at Doctolib.Ensure business objectives are met as a team, by driving growth and performance of each team member;Set the roadmap for your team, and be the end-to-end owner of the team’s delivery and quality;Participate in code reviews and be hands-on if required;Lead cross-functional initiatives to up-level our engineering team;Together with your product partner, define a mission, vision for your team and align on a clear roadmap to make it happen;Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability requirements that are needed to continue to be the most trusted e-health SaaS;Participate in architecture reviews to ensure that the solution delivered by your team meets Doctolib quality standards;Partner with Talent & People teams to recruit, develop and retain talent.QualificationsIf you don’t meet all the requirements below but believe this opportunity matches your expectations and experience, we still encourage you to apply You could be our next team mate if you:Have at least 8+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years of management experienceAre eager to be hands on with our stack: we use Ruby on Rails, Java/Kotlin, Typescript, React (and we are happy to help you ramp up);Understand the value of testing your code;Have the ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues;Have proven experiences developing efficient, maintainable and secure products;Are comfortable speaking English in your day by day with the team; French fluency is a plusWhat we offerFree Health InsuranceUp to 14 days of RTTParental care program (1 month off in addition to the legal parental leave and 0,5 days off per child when the school starts)Wellbeing program (free mental health and coaching offer with our partner moka.care)A flexible workplace policy offering both hybrid and office-based modeFlexibility days allowing to work in EU countries and the UK 10 days per yearLunch vouchers with Swile cardWork Council subsidy to refund part of sport club membership or creative classBicycle subsidyAt Doctolib, we are committed to improving access to healthcare for everyone.
