Your role : As a Senior Design Engineer within the mechanical design and definition division, you will play a key role in the conception and development of mechanical systems for our micro-launcher. Reporting to the technical lead (domain leader), you will act as one of the technical references within the team-supporting junior engineers, contributing to design best practices, and taking ownership of complex or time-critical design tasks. You will collaborate closely with CAD technicians, analysis engineers, and project managers to deliver robust, manufacturable, and innovative mechanical solutions. Your key responsibilities : As part of your role, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities: Lead mechanical design activities for critical subsystems or components of the micro-launcher, from early concept through detailed definition Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient design practices Support urgent or complex design needs by handling high-priority design tasks and technical problem-solving when required Ensure technical consistency and compliance by validating designs against performance, manufacturability, assembly, and cost requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, combustion & fluids, analysis, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions Your profile: Education: Mechanical Engineering degree Experience: Senior-level profile with 10+ years of experience Proven track record in conceptual and detailed design of lightweight structures, mechanisms, or propulsion-related hardware Technical skills: Strong expertise in mechanical design for aerospace applications, including materials selection, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes Solid understanding of design verification principles, including stress analysis fundamentals, assembly methods, and test-readiness considerations Ability to produce and validate technical data such as drawings, Bills of Materials, and tolerance stack-up analyses Soft skills & mindset: Demonstrated ability to mentor and technically support engineers and technicians Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide, support, and motivate others in a collaborative environment Adaptable and solution-oriented mindset, comfortable managing priorities and solving complex technical challenges under tight deadlines Hands-on engineering approach with a strong sense of ownership, reliability, and commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement Ready to launch your career with us and contribute to the development of engines that truly take flight?
