SNR Project Contract Engineer-Claim and Counterclaim SPECIALISTSNR Project Contract Engineer-Claim and Counterclaim SPECIALIST1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.BWS are seeking an experienced Senior Onshore Oil & Gas Contract Engineer to join our onshore execution team.In this critical role, you will serve as the Claim and Counterclaim Specialist, responsible for leading contract and claim management activities to ensure effective resolution strategies and risk mitigation.You will support the execution phase of a complex energy platform project, providing hands-on oversight and guidance in managing claims and counterclaims, collaborating across departments and with external stakeholders to drive results.Goals and DeliverablesThe Claim and Counterclaim Specialist will be responsible for the following activities during the execution phase:Key ResponsibilitiesClaim and Counterclaim CoordinationCoordinate all Claim and Counterclaim dossiers.Drive claim prevention, awareness, and methods sharing within the project team.Provide expert support on existing Contracts/Claims and support corresponding resolution in execution and close-out phases.Advise and direct the project team on ad-hoc claim-related queries.Investigate and assess the merit of major claims/disputes.Provide strategic recommendations for building robust claim dossiers and driving settlements.Draft correspondence and formal notices to Contractors.Coordinate with internal stakeholders including HQ Claim Entity, Project Entity, Legal, and others.Senior Contract Engineer Support TasksSupport contract and procurement-related activities associated with claims.Prepare and issue Minutes of Meeting (MoM) with Contractors on claim-related discussions.Manage the administration and tracking of all claim-related documentation.Review and validate the contractual justification of documents provided by Contractors.Support negotiations on Contractors' compensation requests and participate in settlement strategy development.Assist in the preparation of contract amendments and variations for managerial approval.Maintain and update weekly claim status reports for all Contractors.Draft letters and formal notifications as needed.Prepare slide packs for claim status updates to management.Propose strategic options to address and resolve claims and counterclaims.Ensure all documentation is stored appropriately in the dedicated SharePoint area.Knowledge ManagementContribute to the consolidation of Contracts/Claims REX (Return on Experience) and preparation of the main lessons learnt dossier.Required Skills And ExperienceClaim Management Expert EPC Contract Management (15+ years in Projects); Knowledge of Project Phases (including experience as package contract engineer); Contract Preparation, CFT, Negotiation, Administration Expert Sharing of Information / Lessons Learnt; Working with Complex Stakeholders; Communication, Influencing, and Networking; Transversal Management and Influence; Heavy Workload Management in Fast-paced EnvironmentSeniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typeContractJob functionIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at BWS International Ltd by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Senior Project Engineer” roles.Project Engineering Manager - Projet Mainline ETCS2 (H/F)Railway Infrastructure Project RAMS ManagerProject Planning Deployment Manager - Rolling Stock Projects H/FSenior Project Manager Semiconductor or Silicon Photonics (ID 2430)Traction Power Supply - Project Technical Manager (SE)We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
