Senior Site Reliability Engineer (PRE Platform) Join Criteo as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (PRE Platform). In this role, you will work across product, platform engineering, and infrastructure to build the most reliable platform in AdTech. What You'll Do The concept of Product Reliability Engineering (PRE) draws inspiration from the principles of SRE. At Criteo, PRE acts as the bridge between Product, Platform Engineering and Infrastructure. The PRE group comprises eight global engineering teams with a common objective: to build the most reliable platform in AdTech. How You'll Make An Impact Work closely with product engineering to dig into the code of our apps, systems, and pipelines to assess where optimization is needed most. Tell stories with meaningful monitoring and aim for no paged on-call, with only 10 weeks in a year compensated for on-call. Learn from and teach others; shipping code and involving all aspects of reliability, efficiency & maintainability. Help design production‑oriented platforms at scale and support reliability and scalability efforts for the Platform Factory group. Our missions as a PRE team Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement. Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews. Optimize and maintain services once live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. Scale, automate, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and efficiency. Practice incident response and blameless postmortems. Use programming languages and technologies like Python, Go, C#, Scala, Kubernetes, and Mesos. Who You Are Hold a master's or PhD degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Have at least 5 years of experience as SRE or Software/DevOps Engineer. Have extensive experience with software development in one or more programming languages and data structures or algorithms. Be at ease with designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large‑scale distributed systems. Have experience working in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking. Be used to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks. Show a systematic problem‑solving approach, coupled with effective verbal and written communication skills.
