Doors Support Unit Engineer – KONE Join to apply for this role at KONE. The position may be based in Brussels, Belgium, or in the Ile‑de‑France or eastern regions of France. About KDB KDB is part of KONE: a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, dedicated to improving the flow of urban life. KDB provides innovative solutions for automatic building doors, as well as maintenance and modernization services. Responsibilities Collaboration with KDB Frontlines – responsible for finding the optimal door solution from the KDB Product Portfolio or third‑party solutions, selecting the correct product platform, ensuring clarity on the solution’s scope, and communicating with KDB Frontlines (e‑mail/Teams/phone). Product planning – create product specifications, use door configuration tools, manage product costings for non‑standard cases, develop custom product plans, coordinate lead times, ensure compliance with local codes, regulations and safety requirements, and align with environmental regulations. Tendering process – provide Technical Sales Support, create tender pricing, layouts and documentation using KDB tools. Delivery process – create layouts for drawing approval and production, issue Purchase Orders in SAP, support PR/PO creation for other suppliers, propose change orders, track engineering milestones, and complete documentation binders. General responsibilities – participate in product and new release information sharing sessions, provide input to product offering management on customization, standardization and interface requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in the construction or elevator industry is preferred. Strong technical knowledge and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Mastery of French and English is essential; proficiency in Dutch is a strong asset but not mandatory. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package.
