Travel Operations Specialist Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. We are hiring Travel Operations Specialists to join our Business Services team, ensuring smooth travel for colleagues and guests worldwide to company meetings and industry events. The team sets travel policy, supports travel decisions, responds to travel emergencies, and manages supplier relationships. Location: Worldwide – home based, except in locations where we have an office, such as London, Taipei, and Beijing. Responsibilities Engage with colleagues to address travel queries and issues Work with the wider business services team on company and industry event travel plans Hold travel vendors accountable for providing excellent service Check invoices to ensure accurate charges and timely payments, credits and refunds for travel Monitor trends, spend, emissions and compliance with company policy Track unused tickets, credits and airline points usage Qualifications Excellent academic results in school and university A degree in a business or technical subject Excellent communication skills Responsible and accountable Self‑awareness and thoughtfulness Ability to travel up to four times a year for company events of up to two weeks duration Ability to learn new technology and software quickly Benefits Distributed work environment with twice‑yearly team sprints in person Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year Annual compensation review Recognition rewards Annual holiday leave Maternity and paternity leave Employee Assistance Programme Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues Priority Pass and travel upgrades for long‑haul company events Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full‑time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Software Development About Canonical Canonical is a pioneering tech firm that publishes Ubuntu, one of the most important open‑source projects.
